Arnold G. Gardner, Jr. “Arnie” has devoted his practice almost exclusively to immigration law since 1983. He has developed extensive legal knowledge and practical experience in the areas of business and family immigration. Arnie is widely recognized as a dean of the Utah immigration attorney community. He has previously served as legal counsel to non-profit organizations that provide services to immigrant communities. Arnie is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) and has served as past president of Utah’s AILA chapter. He has also previously been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America in the practice area of immigration.
Arnie is a native to Newport, Rhode Island, but grew up in the Salt Lake City area. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Utah in 1972. He graduated from the University of Utah’s law school in 1976 and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1977. Arnie is married and has two daughters. He enjoys sailing on the Great Salt Lake in his Hunter 420 sailboat. He also enjoys exploring his Scottish heritage by traveling to Scotland when he can, and enjoying single malt scotch when he can’t.
